Rod Peeks

Rod and his wife, Donna, and have lived in Birmingham, Alabama since 1970. All his professional life, he has been a free-lance computer programmer, consulting with many small businesses in the area, helping them get the most out of their computer investment through innovative systems design and programming. He is pleased to put what he has learned over the years into building a unique website to help you find more Personal Peace.   He is part of the Mountain Chapel United Methodist Church where he sings tenor and is a soloist in the choir.   Rod was reared on a one-mule farm in west Alabama. He likes to say one-mule because in good years they had two mules, but there weren't many good years in the 1940's and 50's. He learned a work ethic from his parents that serves him well to this day. He learned that faith in God is the fabric for any success.   At Mississippi State University, Rod earned a degree in Aerospace Engineering and co-op'ed with NASA at Langley Research Center in Hampton, VA. He has a certificate in his home office from the Director of NASA for being part of the team that successfully landed the first man on the moon on July 20, 1969. His part was truly tiny, but he was part of the team.   Rod coached both his sons (now adults) in youth soccer for 15 years. They were consistently among the more successful teams in the area. He learned from working with the kids that sticking to the fundamentals leads to success. So many people want to skip over the basics and go straight to the finish line. Life doesn't always work that way. He also learned that paying attention to the details pays dividends in whatever one does.   He has volunteered with Boy Scouts, led children's choirs, served as an officer in his church, and routinely serve as a poll watcher during general elections.He has sung with a church choir in Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center in New York and in the Mormon Tabernacle in Salt Lake City.   A goal for many years has been to help men and women who are struggling personally to find peace in their troubled world. He found a way that worked for him in dealing with his own anger and that's what he's sharing in Finding Personal Peace. He shares more of the details in the course.   Rod has learned that he can never stop growing personally. He truly believes that the day that he stops reading and learning from the experiences of those who have gone before his is the day that he starts dying intellectually and emotionally. he reads and learns every day. Aristotle said, "We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit" Rod firmly believe that!   He hopes that you find your peace through Finding Personal Peace. God bless!
